In recent months we’ve attracted a heavyweight triumvirate of design and technology execs to the Mag+ senior team. Joining our merry band are Björn Alberts from Hallvarsson & Hallvarsson; Jacob Nordström from the former Nordström & Frank; and Peo Strindlund, from Apple. The dynamic trio is sure to make Mag+ an even stronger participant in digital publishing’s next big phase.
Björn Alberts, a former Exec Partner, takes on the role of Digital Chief. His thoughts on the exciting new challenge: “Working with Mag+ internationally presents a terrific opportunity for me to help shape developments in tablet publishing. I’m doing what I enjoy most: company development and client relations in digital channels. I’m confident my experience at Web Guide Partner and Rebtel, in particular, will be very useful,” says Alberts.
Our new Creative Director Jacob Nordström is a seasoned Art Director with 15 years as a designer under his belt, particularly in the areas of editorial design, profile assignments, and conceptual design solutions. The way Nordström sees it design and layout have taken a back seat to web advancements. But when it comes to tablets, he says, “the criteria are very different, with whole new world opening up for publishers and designers.” With his experience on big editorial titles across Scandinavia, Nordström looks keen indeed get his teeth into the development and distribution of Mag+.
Taking the lead on European sales for Mag+ is Peo Strindlund. Formerly Apple’s director of company development for Pro Markets and most recently responsible for expanding Apple’s Scandinavian presence, Strindlund brings more than 20 years’ experience in the publishing and design sectors. He is exceptionally well positioned to ensure Mag+’s success across Europe.
