April 9th, 2013 marks the kick off of the sixth annual 2013 Custom Content Conference in Chicago, IL. Over 150 attendees will show up to discuss optimizing content to achieve the greatest return. Not only is the CCC putting together an informative event, they are using an iPad publication for the event’s agenda. Attendees can download the CCC Event guide app to see who the key speakers are each day, what the schedule is, and where the evening event will be held. Using an iPad app for the event’s agenda is a great way to reach a mobile audience and give them useful content when they are visiting a new city.
Created on the mag+ platform, the CCC Event Guide gives attendees additional information on the venue, hotel, and special event locations through embedded slideshows, Google maps, and links that provide relevant information. Users that download the app can easily follow the event activity on Twitter through an integrated social button. Each speaker profile takes the user to the CCC website, providing further information.
The CCC is onto something. Event agenda apps are becoming more common, and rightfully so! Not only can apps provide more engaging content to event attendees, they are also a great way to keep event attendees informed of any schedule changes (though a simple push notification).
Check out the highlight video below to see just how the CCC has utilized the mag+ platform.
mag+ will be at the event in Chicago, next week. If you are attending, don’t miss mag+ Chief Product Officer, Mike Haney, who will be speaking with the team from Time Out Chicago, on Thursday, April 11th. Stop by our booth to discuss getting your publication on the iPad! See you then!
