mag+ Challenges iOS Developers to “Unleash the Content,” with $20K in App Contest Prizes

mag+ in San Francisco at Apps World and Matter Feb. 6-8.

Today, digital publishing platform provider mag+ invites iOS developers to crack open its code and build new mag+ reader apps.  The ”Unleash the Content, Build Your Dream App,” contest makes available mag+’s new iOS App Software Development Kit (SDK) to developers worldwide on a non-commercial license to allow them to re-imagine the platform’s reader app. More than  $20,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to three innovative apps built with the SDK. Registration for the contest opens today, and the development window for the contest runs from Feb. 8 to Feb. 22 at midnight EST.

From publishers to catalog marketers, agencies and app developers, in fields as diverse as publishing, retail, gaming and enterprise, mag+ has helped hundreds of companies bring beautiful, immersive content to smartphones and tablets with its free creative tools and white-label reader app. Now, with the addition of the mag+ SDK, developers have access to a pre-built mag+ reader engine they can incorporate into another app or customize with any new features or functionality they desire. Taking advantage of mag+’s creative tools, distribution backend and SDK parts allows brands focus on creating great content and user experiences instead of building a full digital publishing system from scratch.
